Dr. Amit has avoided a major surgery to me for piles treatment. Even though I visited him for a kidney stone which he managed with medicines, I was struggling with piles issue when I met him. Before I met him, I visited other doctors on this issue. Specialized Medical Gastroenterologist also suggested to do surgery immediately. But that time I got recommended to visit Dr. Amit for his opinion. Even I have known him for a long time. He examined me and asked questions about health conditions. After that he explained about the problem and he has decided to give me course of medicine for 2 weeks before planning for surgery. Surprisingly after 2 weeks the issue got resolved to 90%. After reviewing the case he said no need to go for surgery, we can manage it with medication. He gave lot of confidence to me and my family. This happened around 6-7 years ago and from then all my family members visit him for their health issues.He has become our family member. Nowadays doctors don’t give enough time in OPD to listen, nobody is trying to find out the root cause of the problem. It’s rare to find doctors like Dr. Amit, who worry about a patient like a family member. More than a doctor he is a good human being. I feel lucky to have known him.
